Jaguar Land Rover Made in India

Jaguar Land Rover started to make 2000 vehicles every year i India, according to company announcements.
They will begin production of Land Rover Freelander 4x4 for foreign and Indian bosses make it clear that Land Rover and Jaguar models will follow is made in the country.

Luxury and sports car company now owned by Indian giant Tata industrial conglomerate, which also has the Corus Steel and Tetley tea. Jaguar Land Rover with an advanced rapid "crown jewel"of the company, which bought the brand for more than 1 billion pounds. Tata also invest the same amount every year for the development of the brand.


Land Rover Freelander production in India begins in the coming weeks at the Tata factory in Pune, about four hours drive from Mumbai.

Spare parts are manufactured in a factory at Halewood on Merseyside England will be shipped to India in the form of knock-down and assembled by Indian workers.

Corporate bosses stressed that the decision to make the vehicles in India is the direction of expansion, rather than attempt to export jobs to India and exploit cheaper labor
